Verizon is providing prepaid customers with voice over LTE (VoLTE). With this, prepaid users can use data while on a voice call; to make one – or two-way videos calls, and to access six-way conference calls. It can be used over Wi-Fi which provides clearer audio. You can easily use HD voice if it’s compatible with your device and the feature is turned on.
Verizon Store Seaford offers as much as three times more voice and data capacity than 3G technologies, enabling higher quality connections. It also increases bandwidth.
VoLTE calls are billed in a similar manner like standard ones only, and the service is free to add to your plan and use. So if you are on an unlimited voice plan, you’ll also get HD Voice at no added value. It can also work between different carriers, provided both networks have made the service operable. Quality can vary depending on the strengths of your LTE or Wi-Fi connections.
If you place a call through connections, but you move away from network, it will get cut instead of transferring to 3G or CDMA.
It will be automatically activated on selected devices such as (Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge and the iPhone (6). If not you can add HD voice on your android or iOS device through the settings app, or through the My Verizon portal online.
