Take full charge of your data with My Verizon App

It's no furtive that we live in a world dominated by social media, so these changes mean that you’re likely to use more data than you were using before. As consumers are using more data because of increased use of mobile phones, there are a few progressions like live streaming and auto-play video that have impacted the data use. So, with changes in technology, you need better mobile data supervision. That’s why to give you the total control of your data usage, Verizon New York has launched new My Verizon app.

It is developed to reduce surprise over usage of data; the My Verizon app clearly shows you how much data is remaining for the month, how much you’ve used and which line in your family is using it.

For years, we’ve been sending you an alert when you’ve utilized 90% of data, and when you’ve used all of it. The new Verizon Plan, the companion plan to the new My Verizon app, includes features like Safety Mode to help ensure you don’t have data overages, carryover data, which moves your unused data over to the next month. When you enable Safety Mode, once you’ve hit your data limit we’ll move your data plan from 4G LTE to 128 kbps speeds to ensure you stay connected without paying overage fees for the extra data you use.

With the rise in new data-hungry apps, auto-play videos on social channels and the availability of super-fast networks have had a direct impact on the amount of data consumers use. But with the help of tools like data alerts, Carryover data, and Safety Mode, you don’t have to worry about running out of data.
